You relocate the station using documentation alone. No markers, no verbal help, and your instructor will not point.
This is a rehearsal of a dive you will make years from now. It is procedurally identical to a return visit; the only difference is the interval. The reef has not changed over a course, so every difference you measure is your own method — which is exactly what makes it safe to learn on. A diver whose first return visit is a real one has no way of telling which part of the difference is theirs.
If two Teams are running, you will look for the other Team's station rather than your own. That is the harder and better test, because you cannot un-remember your own station.
Not finding it within the briefed search limits is a valid result. It is a measurement of the documentation, not of you, and the search is not extended to get a nicer outcome. Record what was ambiguous in the document, because that is the finding.
