Knowledge Development — peer evaluation

Grade another candidate's classroom presentation against the PADI Knowledge Development rubric. The form is locked until you upload the key file, which you will be sent before the class starts. Then start the timer when the presentation begins; as you type what was said beside each element, the form records when and ticks it for you. Stop the timer when the presentation ends — that scores it and unlocks Send. Send it, and the PDF comes to the examiner with a copy downloaded for you.

Upload the key file

Choose the key file you were given, or open it, copy everything, and paste it below. The form stays locked without it.

or paste it:

* All fields below are required.

How it works. Upload the key file to unlock the form, fill in the header, then press Start when the presentation begins. Each section is laid out exactly as the PADI form numbers it. When you hear an element, type what was said beside it — the time is stamped and the box ticks itself. Untick anything you change your mind about. Scores appear when you press Stop; the final score is the five section scores added and divided by 5, and passing is 3.4 (17 points).

The two lines marked with an asterisk — unsafe or inaccurate information, and an unprofessional impression — fix the whole presentation at 1.0 regardless of everything else. Use them only if you are certain, and write down exactly what you heard. In Section III, lines 1 and 2 are a choice: pick one before the lettered elements open.

Press Stop when the presentation ends; the time becomes the presentation length, and only then do Send, Download and Print become available. Add notes under any section and overall comments at the end, tick the reCAPTCHA box, and Send. Your work is saved in this browser as you type, so you can come back to it; nothing leaves your browser until you press Send.

Presentation timer

Press Start when the presentation begins. The rubric opens, and every note you type is stamped with the time. Press Stop when it ends; the time becomes the presentation length.

The rubric opens when you press Start.

* Performance in areas so noted results in a total presentation score of 1.0 regardless of performance on the remainder of the presentation.

Rubric structure and scoring follow the PADI Knowledge Development Evaluation Form (Product No. 10016, Rev. 10/19). This page is a training aid for candidates in my IDC workshops; the PADI form itself is what the Instructor Examination uses.
