Dive 2 — Found

Now you start a station of your own, in a contrasting part of the same reef, inside an area your instructor sets for safety and access.

Your instructor will not choose the station. Choosing it is the exercise. This is the skill that lets the method spread — a diver who can only add to somebody else's record cannot begin one, and a reef with one documented station has one documented station forever. Reference, two photo points, one capture set, and a protocol another diver could follow.

It also puts a dive and a different piece of reef between your first capture and your return, which is what makes the return a return.

Quick check

Three questions, drawn at random from this lesson's set, one attempt each. The right answer is shown either way. Two of three opens the next lesson; fewer and you get another three. Nothing is recorded anywhere but this browser, and this is not the Knowledge Review — it is a way of showing the lesson was read.
