The Site Entry, section by section.

The twelve topside sections of the Station Report Forms, as a form you fill in during the two Dry Sessions. The ratio, the percentages, the sampling Standard Error, the threshold and the floor are computed from what you enter — you cannot type a floor here, and a class seen at fewer than three points refuses to become a percentage.

Optional, and the paper governs. Nothing in the course requires this page: the Forms document prints, and an Entry written by hand is a complete Entry. This editor exists so that every Entry filed in a Dossier has the same fields in the same order, and so the arithmetic is done the same way every time. It is generated from the Station Report Forms, version 1.1; if the two ever disagree, the document is right.

The slates stay wet paper. Slates A, B and C are recorded in the water and are not here. This is where the slate gets transcribed afterwards, at a table.

Export before you close the laptop: the file is yours, it opens in any text editor, and importing it here resumes where you left off, on any machine. Nothing about you is collected. The Entry is always recorded in meters and centimeters, as the Forms are written; choosing ft / in only changes what you type — the field converts and stores the metric value, and shows the other unit beside it.
